A former White House stenographer who worked with Joe Biden from 2011 to 2017 is arguing that the former Vice President’s mental acuity and capabilities have declined significantly since he left office in 2017.

McCormick cited what he sees as the loss of an ability to speak off-the-cuff and in an improvised fashion. He also recounted an incident where Biden was “humiliated” by Vladimir Putin, in which the Russian head of state cut off Joe Biden’s microphone mid-sentence during a trip to the Russian Federation by Biden early into the Obama presidency.
