The French film has received awards from the entertainment’s most depraved critics. But it has naturally received enormous backlash from normal people for its lurid depictions of underaged dancers.

Schaefer’s tweet has received over 40,700 likes.

French-Senegalese filmmaker Maïmouna Doucouré defended her work from the growing wave of protests.

“Cuties is a mirror of our society, and I hope that we can all look at each other, and work together to make a better world,” Doucouré claimed. “Imagine if all that energy that was devoted to blindly criticizing my film could be used towards protecting those who need it, and offering new role models.”

According to TheBlaze, a Netflix spokesperson told them the film “is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children.”

“It’s an award winning film and a powerful story about the pressure young girls face on social media and from society more generally growing up — and we’d encourage anyone who cares about these important issues to watch the movie,” a Netflix official told TheBlaze on August 11.

So far, over 600,000 people have signed on to a petition calling on others to cancel their Netflix subscriptions in protest of this film.

Schafer’s decision to take up this issue shows that several members of the Texas GOP are willing to stand for traditional values and go up against the degeneracy that is being shoved down Americans’ throats.

Texas conservatives have generally been disappointed in recent years due to the political establishment’s inability to act on gun policy reforms such as Constitutional Carry.

However, there are still signs of life within the Texas Republican Party and Schafer might just be the guy who gets the party back on track in Texas.
